Wire wound
resistors are made by winding resistance wires around non-alkaline heat-resistant
ceramic core which is added with an outer layer of heat and humidity resistant
and non-corrosive protective material, and a coating of silicon resin paint.
The resulting resistors have low tolerance.
Features
1. Excellent heat resistance; small temperature coefficient displaying linear
change.
2. Instant overload capability; low noise and no annual shift in resistance
value.
3. Noncombustible, light weight and cheaper than enameled resistors.
4. More durable than enameled resistors that are made at high temperature.
